Essential Risk Management

29th September 2025

Every year, EME Power Systems delivers comprehensive maintenance packages to businesses and clients across England, Scotland, and Wales, suitably tailored to their specific requirements and recommended maintenance cycles, to help maintain a robust network resilience.

These packages and cycles often include a ‘full intrusive’ element, where we de-energise, allowing for a more detailed inspection and maintenance of all the customer's HV equipment.

These maintenance activities extend far beyond the annual inspection and sampling, which are carried out to industry and manufacturer's standards and recommendations. Being able to ‘look inside’ and comprehensively maintain the equipment provides a deeper evaluation of its condition and operational reliability, while also maintaining its integrity, which helps prolong its working lifespan and, more importantly, protect the people who operate and rely on it.

Preventive maintenance is a crucial element of risk management, ensuring compliance with safety regulations while minimising the likelihood of unexpected failures and hazardous situations.

Should typical problems identified during these maintenance cycles remain unresolved due to the reluctance to adopt proactive maintenance, it can lead to failure, posing safety risks and significant disruptions to operations. In contrast, our maintenance packages help identify risks early, allowing them to be addressed in a planned and controlled manner, thereby removing unexpected and unwanted surprises.
